Real Studio Feedback: How Yoga Students Experienced Horuru Grip Socks

At Horuru, we believe the best way to understand a pair of yoga grip socks is to see how they perform in a real class.

As part of our Studio Gift Program, we shared Horuru grip socks with Laughing Frog Yoga in Los Angeles. Their teachers and students wore the socks during class and later shared honest feedback about grip, fit, color, comfort, and how the socks felt during movement.

Putting Horuru Yoga Grip Socks to the Test

Laughing Frog Yoga introduced the socks to teachers and students so they could experience them during real yoga sessions rather than simply judging them by appearance.

Overall, the response was positive. Students especially liked the shorter sock style, saying it worked well for yoga, while the colors and overall look were also well received.

Strong Grip and Traction During Class

One of the clearest pieces of feedback was about traction. The studio told us that the grip was very good and provided great traction during class.

For yoga students, reliable grip can help create a more secure connection with the mat during poses and transitions. One participant also shared that the added grip helped her feel more stable during certain poses.

Black and White Were the Studio Favorites

Color was another interesting part of the feedback. Among the styles shared with the studio, black and white were the most popular color choices.

For us, this is useful insight. While playful designs can bring personality to a studio outfit, classic neutral colors remain easy to pair with yoga, Pilates, barre, and everyday activewear.

What We Learned About Fit

Real studio testing is also valuable because it shows us where a product can improve.

The main concern from the group was one-size-fits-all sizing. A few participants felt that the socks were slightly too large for their feet, which allowed their feet to move inside the socks even though the grip itself remained strong.

This is exactly the kind of feedback we hope to learn from our studio partners. Fit, grip placement, sock height, and sizing all influence how a pair of studio grip socks feels in real movement.

Yoga, Pilates and Barre: Different Ways to Use Grip Socks

Another useful insight was that some students could see themselves using the socks even more often for Pilates or barre, where additional traction can be especially useful during equipment-based or controlled movement.

That feedback reinforces something we continue to learn from our studio community: grip socks do not have to belong to just one type of workout. Different heights, fits, materials, and grip patterns can serve different movement styles.

Why Real Studio Feedback Matters to Horuru

Our Studio Gift Program is not only about sending free socks. It gives us an opportunity to listen to instructors, studio owners, and members who actually use Horuru products in class.

Feedback from studios like Laughing Frog Yoga helps us understand what people really value — from stronger traction and versatile colors to better sizing and more comfortable fits.

A big thank you to the teachers and students at Laughing Frog Yoga for trying Horuru and sharing thoughtful, honest feedback with us.
